Even though music videos are no longer in heavy rotation on MTV, the network still celebrates the visual art form at the annual Video Music Awards.
We have Beyoncé to thank for reminding us why music videos still matter. The singer’s Lemonade
will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the best visual albums
(sip on that, Kanye!). From “Formation” to “Freedom,” she served up
compelling imagery and countless hairstyles. Adele,
who, like Queen Bey, racked up most of the MTV VMA nominations, made an
epic return with “Hello.” The British superstar proved once again in
the accompanying video for the moody record that no one does a cat eye quite like she does.
